- Pumpkin pie spice
- Shredded Parmesan cheese
- An egg wash to make the pastry extra golden brown. (only if using homemade dough)
How to Make Pumpkin Pasties
Making these pumpkin pasties is super simple, especially if you’re using store-bought pastry. If you are making your own, follow the instructions in the recipe, roll the dough out into a large rectangle, and then follow these instructions.
Divide the dough into 16 circles. These will be small, bite-sized pasties that make great appetizers or snacks.
Add the pumpkin pie spice and salt to the pumpkin and mix together.
Add 1-2 tsp of pumpkin mixture to one side of the pastry. Sprinkle with cheese.
Fold the dough over the pumpkin to make a half-moon shape. Dip your fingers in water and tightly press and seal the dough together. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
If using homemade pastry dough, brush the tops of each filled pasty with an egg wash. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
